Casio Pro fx-1 card reader programmable Hello all, Taking some time off to play. Restored, that is dis-assembled my working FX-1 to repair some bouncy keys. Of course this means a full PCA cleaning as well as shell. All functions work perfectly but the card reader status is unknown. I have some new cards arriving from England soon. In the mean time I have been writing some programs for the calculator. I do have an fx-201p which I have restored earlier this year so messing with the coding (semi FORTRAN) is fun. In any case, three things: 1) does the card reader record data registers along with program coded? It would be helpful, especially with programs requiring many constants. That would save loading constants beforehand into the requisite registers. 2) does anyone have a calculator manual for the fx-1 in PDF format that they are willing to share. I have the fx-201p manual but it does not discuss the card reader do’s and dont’s. 3) Does anyone have the program manual in PDF format that they are willing to share? Cheers, Geoff Will probably do a YouTube video on the fx-1 as well as my HP 29LP IR. |

RE: Casio Pro fx-1 card reader programmable I guess the AC and MAC on the special note before recording answers the: “ is data in the registers also recorded” question! Cards arrived today and the calc reads and records and without the gummy wheel problem! Geoff |

RE: Casio Pro fx-1 card reader programmable Here is the calc working and some of Andrews Menadues’ cards which I labelled with transparent label stock. Sticky on ones side and translucent. Very thin, thinner then paper label material. For cards with programs and labels made up so far: And the cards: |

Right! No wheels so no gummy wheels! Make sure you don't have gummy hands, though. Those cards are so cool! I don't care for whom you voted. If you put ice in your beer, you're crazy. |

RE: Casio Pro fx-1 card reader programmable These are not elegant examples of coding!!!! I wanted to see how the calcs performed so I quickly wrote these routines in a language I was not familiar with. Yes have programmed in FORTRAN but not like this! Hope they give you ideas. The moon phase is not my program and I am trying to remember and/or find the link. I will update the citation when i find it. Cheers, Geoff P.S. they are beautiful machines to say the least. Great circle distance and track Intermediate latitude Cold weather (temp<10’C application): Fuel in tank at prior to departure: fuel in tank is a check that the fuel IS in your tank ;-) A = TOTAL FUEL AFTER REFUELLING IN KILOGRAMS - B = ARRIVAL FUEL IN KILOGRAMS C = FUEL REQUIRED TO BE LOADED. D = TENDER UPLIFT (FUEL LOADED IN LITRES) E = FWCF (SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF ‘A’ OR ‘A1’ KEROSENE (SG) F = TENDER UPLIFT IN KILOGRAMS G = DIFFERENCE IN KILOGRAMS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE THE ‘C’ AND ‘F’ ON THE 787 AND 777 MUST BE < 5%. C = A - B F = D X E G = C - F % = (A - G) / A * 100. (Left this bit off the code as I am more interested in the difference in kilograms, especially if under required or making the aircraft over max taxi, ramp or takeoff weight. Moon Phase: ETOPS legalities Conversion routines; imperial to metric and back Unfortunately these models will convert sexidecimal to decimal but not back so here is a routine that does what the HR->HMS functions do on the HP: The routine is too long to include in the Intermediate latitude program which can convert your HMS latitude and longitude to decimal lat and Lon. But cannot convert it back to HMS. Useful links: Description and some coding YouTube of the cards manufacturer The producer of the new replacement cards and a member here: Hpmuseum link about cards |

'they are beautiful machines to say the least' Yes, but I do not know the scale, how these calcs are 'big' eg. near by a HP-1xC? Viktor Toth wrote on his website, the 'one pound of calculator'.
